ABOUT ME

I’ve been a practicing Speech Language Pathologist since 2008. I graduated with My Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Redlands. My focus for many years had been preschool language development, early intervention, and Autism. After having my second daughter three years ago my caseload shifted to school-aged children. I found myself grabbing books to do therapy. I discovered that with a great children's book my students were engaged and so many opportunities for language expansion presented themselves organically. My personal life is filled with toys, books, and the laughter of my two girls at home. Life is chaotic, busy, and sweet. I've been married since June 2006 to my husband Michael. He is the one who encouraged me to start this site as a creative outlet. One of our favorite "family dates" is going out for sushi and then walking to the bookstore. While at the bookstore we find a corner and read as many books as we can, grab a cookie and a latte and head home with new books in hand. I will leave you all with my favorite quote:
